Description
I would like you to build a customized version of Internet Explorer for the Windows platform designed to provide parents complete control over their child's web-browsing habits.It will have the following features:
Lock Down Mode: This will make it so that the child cannot minimize, close, alt-tab or get out of the application and use another web-browser. A password will be required to get out of lock-down mode
Site Restrictions: Children will only be able to browse to websites that their parents deem suitable for their children. Parents will be able to come up with a list of acceptable sites which will appear in the sidebar. If the child tries to go to a non-approved site, the browser will lock up and require a password to get back in.
Complete History / Logging: A full history of websites which the child views will be available to the parent. The child will not be able to delete the items in the history. In addition, if the page contains any unacceptable keywords (i.e. sex, bomb, four letter words), the page will appear highlighted in red to indicate to the parent that inappropriate material may be on the page.
Custom Look: The web-browser will feature a custom look and feel provided by the client. This will give the browser a custom branding.
Sitebar: This will be a listing of all the websites that a parent has deemed appropriate for the child to visit. This way the child will have a set of bookmarks they can use to browse the web.
The web browser must also have a custom look.
