Description

DESIGN THE MOST CREATIVE MOVIE POSTER FOR "DREAM STATES" -- a feature documentary in post-production. A small fee of $30-50 will be paid for each fully accepted submission (maximum of four, for a total of $140 IF all four submissions are fully accepted and used). However, a huge bonus to the job is that your name will appear in the end credits of the movie as a graphic designer on the film. When you bid, please simply indicate what amount you would be willing to take as payment per accepted submission (between $30-$50). We reserve the right to only choose one or up to four designs that you will submit to us (fully completed, including all necessary edits that we may request) by August 28th, 2008.
 
It will be your own responsibility to find out more about the movie at http://www.dreamstatesmovie.com and http://www.makingofadocumentary.com -- in order to create your most fantastic design idea!
 
The artist will have their design showcased as the main movie poster design or designs for "Dream States," and he or she will be recognized as the graphic designer in specific media promoting the movie.

What you design is completely up to you, but must somehow capture the feeling that all people of all races, sexes, classes, etc., share similar themes and situations while asleep and dreaming, and that is something that connects us all. You MAY use photography, drawing, or any other creative endeavor you come up with and are able to somehow get submitted on time. Each piece will or will not be chosen after evaluating the submissions based on several key points, such as how creatively you represent the idea of "Dream States," and how thoroughly you understand what the movie is about through information gathered on the websites and how you convey it to the prospective audiences in your movie poster design.

Some simple requirements:

--You may submit as many designs as you'd like, but we will only choose up to a maximum of four under the terms of this particular project.

--Any submission you send MUST have been created BY YOU, and in making the submission to IslandHippie Productions LLP, you are acknowledging that you are aware of this requirement and agree not to break it. If for any reason there was more than one person involved in the creation of a design, you MUST include the name of every person involved OR the name of the group involved as well as a contact number for that group. We must have the names in order to properly give credit at the end of the movie, for those that did the graphic design work.
 
All accepted submissions become the property of IslandHippie Productions LLP, and may be used (or not used), at our discretion, for promotional purposes. All submissions to IslandHippie Productions LLP are voluntary, and there is no expectation on the part of the sender to receive any payment at any time for any submission other than under the terms stated above. All artists will always be FULLY credited by name for any submissions used by IslandHippie Productions LLP.

Future employment with our film production company is definitely a possibility. Please only bid if you are serious and can submit the work ON TIME.

To be seriously considered, bidders should submit SOME form of an example of their work so that we may make our selection based upon what sort of style we will get out of your final submissions.
