Voice mail application #: With this application you can compose, send and receive your voice mail messages just like you receive you SMS in a particular inbox. You can retrieve you voice mail messages in inbox and use all the other features like outbox, send etc just like you have in a normal SMS feature in you phone. IM service #: This gives users convenient mobile access to the IM service of their choice: ICQ®, MSN®, AOL®, and Yahoo!®, as well as operator and local communities. Using an intuitive IM client on the handset, users will be able to operate all IM functionalities seamlessly including viewing updated presence information. SMS Based Application #: Requirements • The interface will be similar to the basic SMS interface currently being used by Nokia, Samsung etc. • The client will be able to access the phone's address book. It will send messages to the namesnumbers in the address book. • The message will be sent to the APPLICATION server and stored for retrieval by the recipient. The transmission must be efficient to keep size (bytes) down. • The client will periodically query the APPLICATION server to see if there are any messages waiting. If a message is available it will be retrieved from the APPLICATION server to client. • The message will be retrieved and a notification will be made on the recipient's phone. Symbian Series 60 2nd Edition to 3rd Edition Porting for Antivirus Software #: ANTIVIRUS provides automatic protection from malicious threats that may be received via bluetooth, infrared, data cable, mms, sms, email and network data traffic. Checks will also be made on files located in the file system as they are modified. A potential threat will be isolated immediately and the user will be notified. The application will also periodically perform system scans in the background, the timing of these can be configured by the user and will be enabled by default. Updates to the definitions can be provided within three days of finding a new threat. The malicious software must be tested and observed, then removal instructions can be added to the definitions database and uploaded to the Mobile Services Hub.
