Description

We are looking for an experienced Moodle expert with the following skills -

• Experienced in PHP
• A talented web designer
• Experienced in CSS / Moodle Themes
• Familiar with Moodle plugins and configuration
• Familiar with the Elgg social network tool

You must be familiar with customising the complete theme of a Moodle install in order to personalise the site to the look and feel of our organisation, ensuring our company brand is consistent throughout the site, removing internal references to Moodle (right down to the help files if possible).
In line with our functional requirements for the site you must be able to implement the necessary Moodle plugins

What we have

We have the standard Moodle and Elgg install on our own infrastructure

The Brief

We are implementing a simple two phase project to create an online learning environment using a combination of Moodle (http://moodle.org) and Elgg (http://elgg.org) open source tools

You may bid for both or just one phase of this small project. Please price all phases separately

Phase 1

A. Provide 3 different mock up site designs as examples for a site wide template.
Implement a site wide theme in line with our company/product brand showing small logo on bottom right of the home page "Moodle powered" with no further references to Moodle either in the site, admin or help areas

B. Implement specific plugins and configure based on stated requirements

Phase 2

A. Implement the new Elgg social networking plugin with the Moodle site and customise this in the same theme

B. Modify/create any plugins which may be needed in order for the site to work to our specification (to be scoped and agreed throughout Phase 1). Implement these plugins

Time

Phase 1 - within 7 days
Phase 2 - within 10 days of the completion of Phase 1 (Subject to scope for bespoke plugins if required)

We expect an ongoing relationship with the developer so this should be viewed as a long term opportunity for the right individual

We have some example sites which we like and provide as examples to you, but would look to your creative input and moodle experience to come up with some simple and clean themes / templates. We would like to include the new icon set at moodlezengarden (www.moodlezengarden.com) or again if you know of any nicer icons please feel free to suggest and show these as part of your samples
