Description:	This will be an on going project! and we will be paying per module! We are a wholesale company in the UK who has recently purchased sage line 50 2008 accounting package. Having looked through the program there are many things it does not do that we would like it to, the most important being a good search function. We stock over 5000 products and have many customers so we need to be able to locate them easily and quickly. This will be an on going project as we will require additions to the program at a later date. 1st Task (needed ASAP) We require either a good search function, or a basic POS application that will create a sales order or invoice in sage 2nd Task (within the next year) Add showroom sales make the POS application as mentioned above work with barcodes on a Handheld PDA or barcode reader of some sort so we may scan the items in our showroom therefor input orders faster. 3rd Task (within 2 years) Add order recieving, picking and stock taking functions to the PDA application. Summary of what we need. Speed up of order entry and reduce mistakes by ehancing order entry. Save time entering sales orders by adding simple barcodes scanning. Scan either our own product codes, EAN numbers or other manufacturers bar-codes. Full text search for products. So products matching a customer requirement can be located fast. This makes it possible to identify the right product when our customer only knows it by name or by a different code. View the product availability for Stock-Items as and when you add each order line. so we dont have to toggle between SOP and Stock screens to find out how many are in stock. A warning message added to be displayed when attempting to add an out-of-stock item to advise customer, and choice to prohibit back-orders. Alternative products can be listed when the first choice is out of stock. Pop-up product images and detailed descriptions to aid the inexperienced telesales person. Add Easy Customer Search Full text search to identify customers. Thus allowing telesales to easily find customers when customer has forgotten their account code. Search by customer name, any part of their address or simply ask the customer for their postcode. Add a decent Customer Purchase History to view quickly those items which a customer has previously purchased. To make it simple to assist customers when they ask, "for more of the same from last month". Total order weight needs to be calculated for each new order.
