Description

Hi, I have designed a vista gadget for my site which I require the xml coding to bring it alive. It consists of 6 variables which require MySql communication with the database for displaying the 'count' values in their respective positions on the widget. If the widget is offline I am needing the widget output for these 6 variables to display 'offline' text. I need the widget to be made available in a downloadable file which will auto install on execute. The widget needs to have the capability to hold the userID of the downloader so it has the ability to gather the users specific information from the database. I can send the widget file in it's current state to anyone that is interested in this project. Thanks.

Hi! I have developed a whole bunch of vista gadgets for my own projects and can help you. We will need to create some server-side script to communicate with the database. But I hardly can imagine a way to identify individual downloader without dynamically recreating the gadget file at download time. Please post some more info on pm so that we can discuss it and find an acceptable solution. How do you distribute the gadget?
