Description

Looking for a Spanish translation of English text. The English text will be arranged in a .po file, which is a file format used for translating software content. There are about 18,000 English words in the file, which should all be translated.

In addition to an accurate and thoughtful translation, it is vitally important that none of the comments (preceded by the '#' sign), English text, or the file header (the 'top' of the file) be translated or altered in any way. Also, none of the software tags or expressions, which are embedded in the English text, should be translated or altered in any way. Examples of software tags and expressions include: '<paragraph/>', 'msgsrt', 'INSTANCE(GQ000-001-294:MQ000-001-372)', '<macro>full_name</macro>', and any comment preceded by '#'sign.

The file lists individual English phrases followed by empty strings ("") where the Spanish translation should be entered by the translator. The English phrases are identified by the tag 'msgid'; the Spanish phrases are identified by the the tag 'msgsrt'.

The attached file is a sample of the file that we want translated. With your bid, please send a translation of the sample, preserving the header, English text, and the software tags and expressions. Your bid will be judged by the quality of your translation of the sample. Please use Notepadd++, kbabel, or poedit, in order to preserve the encoding, which is UTF-8.

Translating the English content into Spanish will be relatively easy because the content is written to be easily understood by any audience. The difficult part will be identifying and avoiding the text, described above, that should not be translated.
This job is suitable for a translator who can follow these specific instructions or who has experience translating in a software environment. If this translation project is successful, more jobs like this one could be offered.

Thank you.
