Description

This is a Service Oriented Architecture project (view details at http://www.soamods.com ) that requires skilled Web service developers to complete Functional testing on Web Service SOAP interfaces. The scope of the testing project includes testing of the individual applications and full system flow through (from system to system) of data. This is a technical testing position targeted towards junior developers and requires knowledge of Web Services and SOAP XML creation.

Winning Bids MUST answer these 3 questions will be based on the following:
1. Proven development and testing of Web Service projects
2. Proven Java, XML, and SOAP experience
3. Proven experience using SOAP UI (http://www.soapui.org/gettingstarted/functional.html)

The service within this design will concentrate on the following functionality deliverables:

Deliverable 1

Create test conditions for each of the 5 modules according to the technical specification

Deliverable 2

Learn functionality of applications, understanding the GUI and the fields/data elements that are required and optional
Review XML schemas, XSDs and WSDLs to understand messaging
Using the application GUI, enter data to understand the data fields required in the SOAP messages
Create SOAP messages (XML) for each of the web services

Execution of SOAP messages using the Test Harness
Comparison of results of SOAP message test to manual user-interface test (entering data via the application GUI)
Logging bugs / defects in defect tracking tool (Bugzilla)
Updating testing metrics for each test executed

Re-execute failed test cases after development team fixes code
Regression test passed test cases to ensure nothing broke
