Project description:

A small US language school requires to develop online learning tools. After chatting with some of my friends, the idea of implementing a Macromedia Flash based online Chinese language class crossed my mind.

Actually, the draft idea is fairly simple: we want to essentially display some Script(texts) on the screen; while a MP3 format recording is playing, the words pronounced would immediately change background. So students can keep track of where the instructor is reading. The idea is very much like Karaoke. (Once we are satisfied with the prototype, we will be adding more functionality; but first we want to have a feeling with the prototype)

Basic Requirements:

-The system built need to be really simple to use for both student and website maintainer(minimum or no images);

-Since we will constantly add more texts in this system, so the synchronization(text vs the sound) should be easy to do; (maybe XML file containing text and timestamps??)
