Description: My company has created a Java Application (MIDLET) that runs on Java enabled mobile phones.

Currently for our users to install this midlet on their phones they need to enter the URL of our midlet in the phones WAP browser.... for example http://www.justanexample/midlet.jad


This is an error prone porcess for the usero I want to make is much easier for the users by sending this URL to the user's phone via SMS.


So my project specification is ..

1/. A user who wants our application sends an SMS to our number.
2/. We receive this SMS and send a SMS to user's phone number. This SMS should could the URL of our midlet. For example.. "Welcome to BLAH BLAH thanks please open this link http://www.justanexample/midlet.jad to download our application"



Extras
===========

1/. I would like this to work from as many countries as possible. Please let me know in your bid how many you can make this work from
2/. There should be no charge for us for receiving or sending the SMS. (so no monthly charge, no charge for sending an SMS, no charge for receiving an SMS, no setup charge)
3/. The user can be charged for this process from their phone bill. This charge though must be reasonable (5 USD, etc). It would be nice for us to receive a proportion of this amount but that is not necessary.

We will provide the service for an initial period of one year. The service will be available to worldwide customers but their sms to our number will cost them: US $ 5 from outside India; For customers within India, the charge will be US $ 1. If we have enough business from the sms, we will continue the business. You will not need to pay anything other than the one-time bid payment of $299. We will provide the hardware and the software and the GSM service. If you need us to maintain and provide you with a list of numbers who have messaged us, we will furnish a monthly database for $50 per month to you. This is optional. If you accept our bid, we will need you to escrow $299. You will then provide us the text string you want your customer to receive. We will provide you with a number - you send an sms and test! Release the escrow and we are in business.

I've done many similar project. There are many way do what u want but I thinks the most sensible way is: I'm create 1 j2me app which run on ur mobile and it do all think that u want : receive msg, send wap push, edit ur url,...Other way is: u connect a mobile to computer via USB cable and then create a program which do all thing u want by using a SMS gateway or using AT command,...
