Description

I am looking for a programmer that can program PIC Microchips in BASIC with a highly accurate and repeatable delay function with a range from tens of microseconds to full seconds in 6 different ranges. A "HI" input will trigger the delay output. The output time delay range will be selectable thru a menu system via input buttons and shown on an LCD. The input buttons include UP-DOWN-LEFT-RIGHT, ENTER, FWD and BACK. The buttons may be changed as long as they make sense to the user. The standard output will be a single 10ms pulse and the LCD should indicate a trigger event. Also, the output pulse width (PW) should be changeable via the menu system.
When this project is completed a second project will be needed along the same line. What is important here is the menu system. It must be user friendly and intuitive. The menu must show a welcome screen, a menu opening page, an easy-to-navigate input interface and an ability to set the output PW.
The chip must also have the ability for a READY output and an INHIBIT input. The LCD will be a 2x20 parallel LCD (non-serial).
The input buttons must be de-bounced via software. I will do all of the physical electronics for the job. The output delay timing will be measured with an oscilloscope for accuracy and repeatability. The program must be written in a PIC BASIC language so I may upgrade it at a later date.
Further details may be conveyed at a later time as the project develops.

I am an embedded systems designer and work with PIC basic Pro. I've done a lot of small and big sized projects using PBP and some in C. I've done a blind industrial timer similar to this in C. It had 3 ranges going from seconds to hours. I've done many projects with LCD and menuing systems and I know I can deliver. You might like to see my profile to see my work. Of course it is not very elaborate, but my homepage has much more information. I am an active member of the PicBasicPro forum too. My bid is for electronic design transfer and does not include prototype build and shipping costs. Electronic design transfer means, I will create the schema, code the PIC, send you the schema, hex file so you can check if all matches up. When you're ok, you complete the payment and I send you the deliverables. Jerson
