Description

This bid is for modifying an Open Source program to the following specifications. This is for my own use, not as a potential or actual commercial project.

PRE-BID NOTICE #1: CAUTION TO ALL POTENTIAL BIDDERS: DO NOT BID THIS PROJECT WITH STARS IN YOUR EYES. IT IS TO YOUR BENEFIT TO HAVE CONFIDENCE YOU CAN DO THIS BEFORE YOU BID. I have already awarded this project twice and neither bidder was able to do the project once they got the award.

PRE-BID NOTICE #2: All the files you should need are located at http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html. The name of the program to be modified is currently UltraVNC. THE VERSION FOR THIS PROJECT IS 1.0.2.

PRE-BID NOTICE #3: It is the responsibility of the winning bidder to be able to work with and modify the files, etc., as specified herein.

PRE-BID NOTICE #4: It is RECOMMENDED that all potential bidders download the files and examine them BEFORE BIDDING to reduce the risk that after winning the bid, the bidder is unable to complete/fulfill the requirements of this project.

PRE-BID NOTICE #5: Any additions to this project not included in the above specifications will be requested with a bonus (where appropriate) offered to the winning bidder.

PRE-BID NOTICE #6: This project must be completed and working properly within 15 days after award of bid. If it is not, on the 16th day, the award will be canceled, a Failed Project report will be filed and the project will be re-opened or re-awarded to another party.

SPECIFICATIONS OF THE PROJECT (so you know what you are bidding on); you are advised to re-read PRE-BID NOTICEs #1 and #4.

NOTE: WWW, XXX, YYY and ZZZ will specified to the winning bidder.

1. This bid is for modifying an Open Source program to the following specifications. THE FINAL PRODUCT SHALL BE AN INSTALLABLE FILE (e.g., setup.exe). The install file and the installed program shall function properly on an XP computer, that is, the same as it currently does on an XP computers when downloaded in its original form from http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html.

2. The Open Source files are available for download at http://www.uvnc.com/download/index.html. The name of the program to be modified is currently UltraVNC. THE VERSION FOR THIS PROJECT IS 1.0.2.

3. The program shall not be altered in the way it functions other than as specified herein. When the program is running, the Task Manager Applications and Processes sections of an XP machine shall show this program as ZZZ.exe.

4. The install directory name shall change from UltraVNC to XXX.

5. Some of the files contained therein shall be given a different (specified) name. Again, all programs shall run exactly as they are designed now, only the file names shall change.

WINDOWS/system32/drivers/vnccom.sys; change to WINDOWS/system32/drivers/YYYcom.sys [same file as above??]
