OK, what we have here is an overhaul of a website for
a small UK independent record label which has been in
business since 1995.

The site should maintain all logos and idents which you
see on the webpages here:

www.subversiverecords.co.uk

What the client wants is a fresh makeover in terms of
visual appearance.

The company currently sells its product online thru Beatport
and there will be a dedicated page for an embedded BP player
for sales, so no problem there.

The site must be easily updatable by the rec co owner and staff,
notably on pages relating to a 'News' page and another for 'Upcoming
Releases'.

Have a look at the site, also bearing in mind that the new front page
should be more visual in terms of photography - frames which can have
their image content changed also useful here.

There should be a link thru to the label's Myspace page here also
(actually the website hasn't had an update since q4 2004, so the
Myspace page will actually give you more of an idea of the flavour
of the label at present):

single ad banner, probably for cellphones
or the like, and one other ad spot (suggestions
for what form this might take appreciated).

I just heard that there has been a new general page
layout, which basically consists of a top strip and
3 framed columns below that - I'm trying to get these
sent to me at the moment).

Wow how lucky are you? I am actually a fan of Steve Lawler and MURK who are signed to Subversive records and I have visited the site before. Yes it needs an update, its looking a bit flat!thats where we come in - we could build the site in a CMS system called Joomla so that the guys can update the site on their own with new News stories and releases etc.We would provide 2-3 different layouts in Fireworks then the client can decide what they like or dont, integrating Beatport and linking the site to MySpace - no problem at all, in fact we could probably insert their MySpace page inside the site wrapper itself.
