The purpose of the site is to get visitors to sign up for the free magazine. http://www.realmanmag.com

I want to re-design the site around the purpose – to drive visitors to sign up for the free magazine. I'm interested in someone who has experience not only in designing web sites, but someone who knows how to design a website to accomplish an objective.

I'm interested in seeing some sort of simple sketch or markup showcasing your ideas for the site. Please don't simply respond that you'd like the job - demonstrate why you're the one I should hire by providing me the best layout concept / design ideas. Ideally, you'll provide a simple sketch or layout along with some narrative detailing why the design you provided will help drive visitors to sign up for the magazine, why it's SEO friendly / maximized, and other benefits.

Here is some additional information to consider:

I need something that will appeal to 18-39 year old, blue collar males.

The layout should be cool, attractive, cutting edge, modern, ‘wow’ – something that looks impressive or grabs the visitors attention.

Perhaps use Ajax and other latest web technologies to improve page presentation, performance and interactivity.

I need it in a Dreamweaver template format.

Here are a few additional thoughts:
- a flash header, with a Real Man Magazine Logo, with audio ("Welcome to Real Man Magazine" - I could add the audio later, but need a placeholder for it), similar to this: http://www.nrg.be/

- a narrow left hand column with drop down menus for main topics

- two additional equal sized columns: one with the cover of the magazine with a call to action (to get users to subscribe); the other with scrolling images with headlines of articles.

- color scheme: black, grey, read, white

- make creative use of backgrounds, borders, frames, etc.

- the site should be designed with maximum SEO in mind

The more information, images, ideas, thoughts, etc. that you provide me, the more likely you'll receive the job.

If the price is an object, let's discuss. I'm mainly interested in the design, the flash header, and constructing the basic layout. Other tasks I may be able to accomplish myself - such as inputting all of the text and images.
