Request for proposal (RFP) to develop static WebPages for an E-Training website.

Technology: HTML, Images, Flash, DHTML, CSS, XML etc.

Time lines: 5 – 20 Days. (Maximum)

Introduction/Executive Summary:

Need to develop logo, banners and few static webpage’s for professional E-training website. This phase requires only developing few static web pages and pages which demonstrate the product which will be available in the future.


DESCRIPTION:

FAQDEN is start up firm providing E-training solutions. As the first step towards developing the product, we would like to setup an introduction website with few static pages which has details about the firm and product.

1. Project need to have a RGS, Development and testing phase.
2. The webpage’s will have to be built with Search engines in mind. Someone with very good knowledge of SEO practices will be a plus. This is a secondary goal as of now, so I would not pay extra for this, but you would show good development practices, by developing it in such a way that it is optimized for ranking.
3. The website needs to have a very professional yet elegant look.
4. It should not use frames.
5. It should not use flash for anything other than the banner probably or any other marketing images on the right side of the webpage.
6. We will need all documentation and the source code when you are done with this first developer project. This is a first project being outsourced and it is a trail. If this succeeds we have many projects in pipe line for you.
7. I want to prepare the site for google adwords.
8. The Banner should be in Flash with elegant and professional graphics.
9. The logo has to be very professional.
10. JavaScript should be included in separate file.








****Important Note:
1. Changing the contents on the static pages should be simple.
2. Changing the names of the menu items and adding new menu items with the links to the static pages should be possible.
3. If you can define the menu items and links to the webpage’s in the XML and render them.

7. WebPages demonstrating the product. Maybe 3 0r 4.

9. Contact US. Company contacts and a form to allow the user to email an inquiry about details.

6. Left side navigational buttons should be in tree like structure in case there are sub options.
7. Right hand should have few banner ads of various partner firms.




Payment terms:

Payment will only be done after completing each phases as decided before starting the project. Since this is a very small project, it might have at the max of 3 or 4 phases. In no situation will the payments be made before the completion of a particular phase.




General Project Rules:

The following rules are not to scare good programmers, but to protect me from the awful ones.

1. I only deal with the freelancer, no middle man. If you are not the person who is doing the task, don’t bid.

2. Please suggest any preferred method of communication or online tools which can used during project development.

3. Project timeline starts to count as soon as you accept the project.

4. You are expected to finish the project according to your bid deadline, and that includes modifications after my final revision, so you need to submit to my approval your final delivery at least 24h before project deadline. So when you bid be responsible about deadlines, do not bid less time just to convince us to choose you.

5. You are supposed to send your yahoo messenger id the same day you accept the project, and schedule for an online meeting.
5. After accepting the project and after your doubts are clarified via yahoo messenger you are required to show the work in progress every 3 days, unless other agreement is arranged via messenger in the first online meeting mentioned above.
5 If you fail to show the work done I reserve the right to cancel the project.

6. You must develop the project in an online server in order for me to be able to review development anytime.

8. I may ask you to sign a NDA (Non Disclosure Agreement). I send it to you for your email address registered at the freelance platform.
8. Even if I do not send you NDA, you are not authorized to make public that the work you have developed for me was done by you. I may be hiring you for some client of mine, and therefore you must waive all your copyrights to us.

9. You are responsible to develop the work you make for us without violating any copyright law.

10. You must speak good English and you should communicate to us in a correct manner without use of improper language.

11. I assume you work everyday of the week, which includes weekends. In case you do not you are responsible to advise that when you bid.

12. In case you do not work without money upfront, the only warranty regarding payment that I can give is the use of escrow service at this platform. In very special, and rare, cases, I agree partial payment upfront, but only to freelancers with perfect score above 50 reviews and with online website with address, phone, fax, tax information related to freelance or small company.

13. When you are chatting with us via messenger you should warn us if you leave. In case messenger goes offline for other reason than not your fault, you are expected to send an email advising that.

I will be closing this project and opening another one with better details and more requirements. After interacting with many bidders, I think I can eliminate most of the issues I had with current project in the next posting.
