Description

Satellite design template
-----------------------------------------------
In need of a 3 page template for a Satellite product website. Mostly, the website will provide information about satellite technologies such as TV, phone, and radio. Eventually there will be products for sale, so the template needs to be structure to allow for easy product integration and allow for placement of banners and advertisements. I want the site to look cool and have a more "Web 2.0" sort of look, with reflective images where appropriate and clearly defined nav and layout.

Requirements

- High level of creativity is an absolute must-have skill
- Must have a very strong background in layout and design, as well as understand meanings behind color schemes
- Template MUST be original (not a copy of something from Template Monster)
- Template MUST be in .PSD and HTML formats
- Must bs CSS compliant (style sheets, not embedded formatting)
- Template must be cross-browser compatible (firefox, ie, safari... don’t worry about Netscape)
- Template must be designed for 1024x768 resolution
- Must be willing to submit work-in-progress versions of the template on a daily or every other day basis
- MUST be easy to work with and willing to make revisions until complete satisfaction is meet

I like the color scheme for DirecTV, with the use of blues and golds over that of Dishnetwork's red. I want the user to feel at ease on the site and for some reason I believe red isn't the best color for that.

General website framework / design:

- Need a logo that is very cool and represents the website accurately
- Horizontal top-level menu with drop-down navigation
- Area for breadcrumbs below the main nav
- Footer with links to privacy policy, usage agreement, and sitemap
- Left content area slightly wider than 160px width to allow for banners / ads

Home page should have the following sections:

- Product showcase by technology. Basically 4 boxes that link to the dedicated page for that technology.
- Television
- Radio
- Telephone
- Computer / Internet
Each box will have a title header, an image to represent the technology, and a small amount of text under the image to describe what that section is.
- Text area / box that will contain a description of the website

Content / Article page section:

- Article Title (header), sub title, content
- Should include box / section for user to perform the actions:
= Print, Email, Bookmark, Technoarti, del.icio.us, stumbleupon, simpy *
* Please note: Use appropriate icons! If you don't know what some of these are, ask and I'll provide the links and/or icons.
- Article headers should have some image to indicate the category that is being viewed. For example, if the current article falls under the "Internet Phone" category, then the header should have an image / icon to represent that.

Sub page should have the following:

- Table for comparison of two technologies.
Example, XM Satellite vs. Sirius Satellite or Disnetwork vs DirecTV
- Table should have header, footer, and pager
- Table would be set-up such that the first row displays the compare attribute, while the next rows contain the values that's relevant to the item being compared (like a cross-matrix). GAF doesn't allow for formatting... but kind of like (each box represents a row):

- There needs to be space for a description above the table to describe what's being compared or some other relevant information.
