Description:	--------------------------------------------- Site: --------------------------------------------- The main site is geared toward the niche of motorcycle transport systems, specifically the sales and presentation of the system the company offers (company name and website URL given to winning bid). --------------------------------------------- Goal: --------------------------------------------- Achieve a very sharp Web 2.0 design with clean page layouts and easy navigation, and an interface and design that will be eye catching. The site needs to showcase the product(s) that are being offered in a manner that will make visitors want to purchase or request more information on it. This is a complete re-design of an existing website, so you'll need to reference the existing website for ideas on the product and what it's trying to convey. --------------------------------------------- General Requirements: --------------------------------------------- - Optimized to 1024 resolution - Original and creative design - Design a Cool Logo that makes sense. NOTE: There is already a company logo designed, and that file will be sent as a general idea/guide for the website logo. I would like to see an upgrade on the logo that is eye catching and integrates a pleasant color scheme. - Web 2.0 design with use of DIVS / CSS. - Bread crumb navigation - Footer with various links, including: "Privacy Policy" and "Usage Agreement" - Social bookmarking icons (see top of "Free Links Direct" or "Save Crazy" for examples) - Top level menu navigation with drop-downs. Top level menu items (for stubs) should be Home, Product Details, Setup Procedure, Testimonials, Articles, Support. NOTE: I would like for the JS be included that has the drop-down menu functionality. This website will most likely be HTML (not .NET, PHP, or JAVA)... so I'll need a JS functional menu. - All sub-pages need to consist of header text in <H1> tags (formatted) - All sub-pages should contain an appropriate image/icon to the left of the page title --------------------------------------------- Home Page: --------------------------------------------- The home page should be clean yet incorporate several important elements to help sell the item and site. - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Main content section should contain an image of the product and have some introduction text (like the text that is already on the homepage). - Left column approximate 160px wide (maybe 180px?) for various content - Featured article from Biker Magazine that shows partial text (a blurb) and completes with a "read more..." link to the full article. - A "What's new" module where news / information headlines can be added (possibly add to left column) - Possibly add (depending on how it looks) some sort of attention grabbing blurb that will let users know of a new feature or new product. --------------------------------------------- Product Details Page: --------------------------------------------- This will basically replace the "Features and Benefits" page currently on the existing website. - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Text following header that describes the product. - Some image thumbs of the product need to be incorporated into the content with a "Click to Enlarge" link under each image thumbnail. - "Specifications" section/grid that will replace the current bullet points on the existing page. Most of the content from the bullets will be carried into it, so just need something that will display it much nicer than the existing format. The specs should probably appear under the main text on the page. - The page needs some sort of cross-reference link to an "Accessories" page as well as an "Image Gallery" page. - Need some sort of image link with an "Order Request" or something of the like that will link the user to the Order Request Page. - Need to have icons for "Print", "Email", and "Bookmark" --------------------------------------------- Image Gallery Page: --------------------------------------------- The image gallery is to display / showcase the product images. - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Simple image gallery page where X number of thumb images are displayed. Clicking them will load them into a larger view. I'll be using lightbox for this, so nothing is needed other than the image link stub. - Simple pager with "First, Previous, Next, Last" control interface (again, just HTML stubs). --------------------------------------------- Article Listings Page: --------------------------------------------- - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Nicely formatted grid-like view with columns "Article" hyperlink (article title) and "Summary" label (article synopsis). --------------------------------------------- Article Page: --------------------------------------------- Page that will display the contents of an article. - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it (same icon as used in Article Listings page) - Article content, consisting of "Title", "Author", "Article Body" - Need to have icons for "Print", "Email", and "Bookmark" --------------------------------------------- Order Form Page: --------------------------------------------- Page where users can make a request for order, so nothing more than a simple entry/input form. - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Input fields shall consist of: -- Quantity input -- First Name input -- Last Name input -- Last Name input -- Address 1 input -- Address 2 input -- city input -- State Dropdown -- Zip input -- Email Address input -- Phone Number input (xxx)xxx-xxxx -- Comments / Questions textarea -- Send Request button --------------------------------------------- Contact Us Page: --------------------------------------------- The page to request contact for general questions or feedback - Title text should be in formatted <H1> tag and have an appropriate image icon to the left of it - Rest of the page should be blank.
