I would like to include an ecommerce component to my website www.simplyislam.com.sg. The ecommerce website should use freely available software like Zen, OSCommerce, etc, like those available on our website control panel, through Fantastico. Unless the developer truly believe otherwise, please advise appropriate recommendation to purchase an ecommerce software.
The ecommerce should have similar functionalities like www.astrolabe.com & www.nasheedshop.com
The website will sell the following types of items:
1. Books (usual details required)
2. Music CDs (user can listen to portion of music)
3. Event tickets (e.g. seminars, concerts, etc)
4. Donations
5. Paraphernalia - Posters, gizmos, etc
Other Info:
1. Data entry of items for sale will be done by us.
2. Developer will update the shipping methods and costs through a table of charges that will be provided by our vendor, UPS.
3. Developer will interface with payment gateway (e.g. www.2checkout.com, paypal, etc)
4. Standard functionalities should be present.
The developer will advise us on the following:
1. Any software required (e.g. ecommerce, extracting music from CD, etc)
2. Data entry procedures
3. Procedures for account creation with payment gateway(e.g. www.2checkout.com, paypal, etc)
4. Reports on purchases statistics, etc.
Developers with some experience on similar projects will be selected. Please advise on similar completed projects.
