Description:	SEO Professional / Virtual Webmaster / UK -------------------------------------------- The title probably gives you a good idea but we’re a new UK based business looking to gain an advantage through a well planned and implemented web strategy. We’re looking for an experienced, dedicated, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable SEO professional who can help us greatly and who can act as our Virtual Webmaster….they would project manage all the different aspects of the work required in order for us to reach our goal of high SERPS results for our given terms. We expect that they would be able to begin to show results quite quickly using white hat modern techniques. ----------------------------------------------------- The person we are looking for would….. Have great communications skills and be very much on our business wavelength. Be able to prioritise effectively and to work towards our most important goals quickly. Be able (and happy) to demonstrate a successful track record in business/website strategy/SEO and be generally able to show a comfortable mastery of their field including researching and using new techniques. Be readily available to interactively discuss ideas by phone or email...this doesn't necessarily have to be in real time... Be able as mentioned to Project Manage the whole process using our internal resources and/or external resources….helping to identify quality and cost effective sub-contractors where required. They might end up running our Blog potentially --------------------------------------------------------------- We see a need to ….. Carry out an initial business requirements review leading to (via competitor analysis) identification of keyword phrases then modifications required to the existing website for on-page SEO purposes including the addition of pages, titles, re-writing, site maps etc, consideration of RSS feeds Draw up a detailed comprehensive plan of work for off-site SEO including such things within it as article marketing, book marking, blog syndication, RSS feeds, checking relevancy and last but not least link building. (We are incidentally in a competitive but certainly not highly competitive field…...overseas re al estat sales to UK clients) Consider implementation of wesite CRM and Email List building etc… ------------------------------------------------------------------ We’ve had unsolicited offers to carry out all the above plus a million or billion other things for ‘bargain’ prices but we’re not interested in such offers….but that’s not to say we've money to burn (as we haven't unfortunately) nor is it an invitation to quote very high either…but we not interested in low price low quality offers that will be counter-productive. We need to know that whoever we work with can do LOTS to help our business and will definitely NOT damage it. As you can probably tell through reading the above I’ve a basic knowledge and basic understanding of some aspects of SEO and the like however that's it....I’m not a professional and I don’t know enough to put everything in place (as described above) myself…certainly not as a comprehensive, cohesive and sensible strategy…nor am I likely to regularly come up with other ‘really good ideas’ that a professional probably would….so I believe in the benefits of outsourcing this work. I can also see the benefits of having an external Project Manger who is objective and who can push things along when necessary. To be frank I’m a little dubious about receiving many good offers here considering the one-liners that seem to dominate but we’ll see... Being UK based might be an advantage but it’s not an essential. ------------------------------------------------------------------ I’ve gone into great detail above as much for my benefit as for yours and have perhaps made it sound more complicated than it is….for someone who has the attributes I’ve stated and who knows what they are doing I guess most of it would be fairly straight forward.
