Description

I would like to start a web site like gumtree.com whereby people can post free adverts including an optional picture. The site should be clean and simple. I want to have the same 48 areas around the united kingdom including northern Ireland. There will be 8 main categories with 108 sub categories.

The site should be easy to use. I want visitors to go to homepage and browse adverts and post adverts exactly the same as gumtree. Once an advert has been posted the same as gumtree I want the “confirm advert” page to display either banner adverts or google adverts.

For first time users they should be able to write an advert, choose the category and add there details and password details at the end, then they can click post advert. The confirmation page will have adverts. All adverts will need to be approved before they go live and should send a notification of advert to the clients email address. Adverts will be listed under the day they were submitted in the category chosen. Clients will need to be emailed when an advert is 7 days old so that they can re-list if they want too. All adverts will stay in order in their chosen categories in date order for 101 days.

The area hompage should be able to have featured adverts which I will start off as free for my launch. I will then charge a fee for a weekly listing on the area homepage. I also want to have featured adverts on the category homepage and sponsored adverts on the actually advert pages.

I would like all advert pages to have a link for us to be notified if an advert is inappropriate for a particular section.

I would like to have an advert search. Users could then search there particular area for specific adverts or search nationally.

I would also like to add a “The Good Guide” which will be like the websites own blog guide to utilising the website safely and buying and selling safely as well as buying and selling for profit.

I would like each area to have a forum for all types of discussions. Each topic would need to be submitted by a registered user.

I would like each category page to automatically have meta and information for search engine consideration

The theme of my websites design should be 101 using the colours red and yellow. In whatever shades needed to give it a professional corporate branded look.

Please check out gumtree to get a feel of what I want done. I do not want any restrictions on the volume of adverts on the system. Please let me no what type of space on servers I am likely to need and how fast this project can be completed.
