Description
A full redesign for the ecommerce business website of http://www.eatmelures.com. You can see the current site following the URL given. Changes to be implemented are listed below. I will project manage the work and provide you with all the new product photos, descriptions, and pricing in an organized spreadsheet. I've built websites and know the information that you need, and in what manner, to do an efficient job.The new site will be moved and hosted on my dedicated Unix server at Layered Tech. My Unix server has Fantastico installed, and you will have the full menu of programs and utilities available to complete this project in the most efficient manner. After reviewing the following requirements for the new redesign, I need bidders to recommend the scripts that you feel best would satisfy our needs along with your bid; samples of prior work, and mock-ups of an index page would also increase your chances of being chosen. This project could also include bonuses for quality of final deliverable. We'd also expect a 90-day warranty of support on the work to solve any problems if they happen to exist.
Requirements:
1. Considering that there are less than 100 products total and more like 50, I think it would be more beneficial to construct the pages as static HTML versus the implementation of an eCommerce application.
I'm not a big fan of php in terms of SEO or design function considering the restraints of the applications. I welcome your true opinion and recommendations here. The product line is not going to increase much beyond this original quantity.
2. For ease of use and mass user acceptance we would like to integrate Paypal as the ecommerce payment solution. (If you have valid arguments for another option let us know. They better make sense or it will eliminate you from consideration.)
3. We will be adopting and using http://www.shareasale.com as an affiliate program with the launch of the new website and design. It's important that you have experience or do some due-diligence prior to bidding regarding the URL requirements and scripting needed to implement this program within the new design.
4. Do a search for similar products offered on the Internet and you’ll find that most websites are sub-par in quality and function. There’s no reason at the end of this project that this is not the most visually appealing and easy to use website for this product online. Search for “offshore fishing lure”, “marlin lures”, “fishing lures”.
5. The final version will include a message board and photo gallery. Both of these applications are offered through Fantastico with at least three options for each and one click implementation. All that needs to be completed by you is graphics integration and internal linking to make it flow as one website and not present as numerous applications patched together.
6. A very attractive and functional redesign of the website. I’m not a big fan of clunky and slow flash, but would like something that has some creativity and WOW factor. We’d like someone to put some thought into the presentation of the product line. The quantity of products is fairly small and niche targeted, so we’d like them to be presented in a unique and appealing fashion. We want the site constructed in a way that makes it easy to find what you want, entertaining to surf around, and inviting to return to.
If you’re the type of designer that just pounds out standard templates then this opportunity is not for you. We need someone who’s willing to take on this project and develop it as a showcase. I have the creativity and will work with you on the ideas, and in exchange you will get exposure on the site as the designer, and a showcase piece that will earn you additional business.
Please review what’s needed in its’ entirety and request any clarification you need before bidding. If you submit a price quote without addressing what we need, we will deny your bid and exclude you from the project. We really want someone who will work with us and produce something appealing and functionable. There’s a bonus at the end of the project for that satisfactory deliverable.
I’ll be uploading a temporary site map in the next few days. The present site is a close representation, but there will be the addition of maybe 20 unique pages.
