Before I start working on a project I have a pre-made set of questions that help me gather all the information I need in order to give the client exactly what he wants. I don't have a set number of mockups that I provide each client, however with most clients, because I have all the information I need before I start, I get it right the first time. There are no restrictions on how much work I have to do either at the beginning of the project by doing more mockups or at the end, by doing more changes. The only thing that matters is that the client is very happy at the end of the project. Before I start on a project I make an agreement word document with the client, letting him know what I'll create for him and how much it costs so that both of us are on the same page. Hi, My name is Math Notermans. Very experienced and creative designer. Won several prizes with my design, amongst other for the Dutch SPIN-awards and a silver award for the NewYork Festivals. SO quality and creativity guaranteed. As a profesional designer i know that costs and deadline are equally important. That is always guaranteed in my services too. Rates depend on the time and complexity of a job. For a clear and straight-forward job i (and my clients ;-) prefer a fixed price for the project. So all is clear for everyone. If the job is less clear, a hourly price is a possibility, allthough a fixed price always possible. Rates differ from $50 to $250 (and up) for a job. Hourly my rate is $20. In the initial state the analytical phase is imminent. What wants the client? Whats the target-group? etc.etc. So making clear what needed. That could be your part...or we do it together. When that phase is completed we should have some requirements and we can go into the designing phase. Making several mockups or demos. Maybe a moodboard-session in which we present the client several spherical impressions that gives us an idea of the direction he chooses. Mockups and demo's are best if they have the possibility to be used for the final product too. A Mockup or demo that cant be reused is often a waist of time. So i make mockups and demos that often got a lot of the techniques in it for the final product. That way the mockup/demo is a great step toward the final product. So i dont limit mockups and demos...Its just a iterative part of the development process. Only thing the client needs to be aware of is that some decisions have consequences...concerning time, money and deadline. But thats what were there for...to remind him timely... As for changes in the final designs actually the same counts as for mockups. Since i try to develop and design in OOP and OOD, things can be easily and quickly changed.
