Description

We are looking for a strong web designer to update our website mockup. Our site has already been developed and what we need is a simple “facelift” to make it look newer and more professional. We already have a mockup of how we want the new site formatted. All we need now is someone who can finalize the details and apply the new design scheme to our entire site.

COMPANY SUMMARY:

PrinterFetch is an online print marketplace for items such as brochures, flyers, postcards, and business cards. It is the first company to offer instant pricing of print jobs from various commercial printers nationwide.

PrinterFetch's main business is derived through a web interface similar to travel portals like Expedia. When customers enter specs for their print job online, a list of commercial printers is instantly generated and includes each printer's prices, taxes, shipping, distance, profile, and user reviews. The customer chooses which printer they would like to use, enters shipping and billing information during checkout, then uploads their graphic files.

OBJECTIVES:

- Update the mockup we will provide you
- Create several designs with differing colors, logos, designs.
- Use design schemes that are sleek (Web 2.0) but targeted towards an older, more professional audience (bold colors)
- Adhere to layout and formats that we provide
- Apply selected design scheme/look-and-feel to our entire website.

REQUIREMENTS:

- Code should be W3C standards compliant and compatible with all popular browsers (IE, Firefox, Opera, Safari)
- CSS is and should be used whenever possible.
- Code should be organized and aligned following what we have already developed. (Please use 2 spaces for any indents or tabs.)
- Our code is pretty modular in design. Please adhere to our design scheme.
- All current features or functionality must be retained or enhanced.

PAYMENT:

- If we select you, we will pay you 25% of your bid price after you complete at least 3 mockups.
- If we approve your mockup, the remaining 75% of your bid price will be paid to you upon Project Completion.
- Project Completion requires you to successfully finish all the above objectives.
- Please specify your preferred method of payment.

BIDDING:

- Please submit project references that demonstrate knowledge of web design.
- Please submit any portfolios you have of your past design work.
- Please submit bid price plus estimated time of completion.

We will be frequently updating our site and would like to have a continuing relationship with whoever wins this bid. Thank you and we look forward to working with you.
