Hi!

I am looking to build a Salsa directory for worldwide Salsa Clubs, teachers and artists but concentrating most on UK.

I am thinking of buying the ready made package offerred by edirectory.com which is a directory software with many of the features that we need already there.
If I buy this I have the Full source code.

The main features that we require that are not included are:

The world map to appear on the home page with all the listings marked by (custom) toggles on a fully functioning google api map. (get direction etc without having to leave the website and go to google maps)

The listings to be returned in map form as well as short desciptions when the searches are performed.

The map to be searchable by town/postcode/country

The markers to be automatially added and removed when the listings are active/disabled

A 'sign up for SMS' service to collect telephone numbers (that can be categorised) for the purpose of sending out news/events information

An Email sign up to collect mailing list for news/events updates

Customisation of the front page look including amending the search boxes for UK town, county, regions and countries and advanced search for day of the week and styles of salsa.
Front page to include random shuffled photos of subscribed clubs, an embedded video from YouTube that we can change, changeable polls, customisation of the existing page listings layout.

The most important is the mapping feature - some examples i have are the odeon.co.uk site and the dancefederation.co.uk site although these only include UK and do not cover many different search criteria.
