Description: An systems adminstrator who will register, admit and assist students/instructors for a college that uses Blackboard, Wimba (audio/visual chatrooms), and Verio (emails). We are looking for someone who will be available by telephone and use a program like Helpmeeting to assist students and instructors get their computers aligned with Blackboard and Wimba as well as signing students with a college email addresses (aliases) to original email. Pay would be on an hourly basis. Most of the activity would occur at the start of each program (July, Sept and January) because most users encounter difficulty at these times. Once they sign into these systems, everything runs smoothly. System adminstrator must be familiar with PC & MAC issues stemming from headset connections and Windows/Safari connections to Blackboard and Wimba. Also included are signing new students and instructors into an email system using Verio. Basically, we are looking to replace an existing IT person who currently signs students/instructors into the system and helps with connection issues. Hourly or weekly payment system offered. Ocassionally, links and website changes are required. Presently, we use Dreamweaver to make the changes though the website (10 years old) needs a complete rebuild.
