Description

A research student needs to creat an online psychological test using AJAX asap. see description of the test below:

Instruction:
"For this task, you will be presented with a series of UPPER case or lower case letters on the screen (presented individually, one after another). Each time you see a lower case letter, press the 'space bar' key as quickly as you can. Each time you see an UPPER case letter, refrain from pressing the 'space bar' key. Do this as quickly as you can - both speed and accuracy count."

Procedure:
Participant will then have to complete a preliminary block of 12 practice trials (with equal numbers of upper and lower case letters) after which the experimenter re-emphasized the importance of speed and accuracy, and began the test trails.

The test phase consisted of six blocks of 60 trials. In half the blocks, lower case letters predominate: 60:40 (Go phase blocks) and in half of the blocks upper case letters predominate: 40:60 (NoGo phase).

Data Collection:
Reaction time will be computed for correct responses only to lower case letters and were computed separately for Go and NoGo phase blocks.
