Description

I have a website that sells candles, salts, jewelry, oils, herbs, incense, native american items, novelty items, artist consignment, etc. I am currently advertising on google adwords and spending about $6/day for about 25 clicks per day that rarely result in any sales at all.

I am a programmer, with a bit of writing and design background. I need someone with a sales and/or marketing background who can suggest action steps to improve my web noticibility and web sales.

I do not want suggestions for how to spam people, or how to put multiple posts on craigslist, or how to use an automated tool to get myself banned from myspace or facebook. I want honest to goodness ethical suggestions for site improvement, SEO, customer viewpoints, and quality solutions that could do a better job to put my name and products out there. This could turn into an ongoing web marketing help project if you are the right person.

If I went out on google and searched for this info myself I would get mostly "Buy this SEO product" ads, and scads of cloned web marketing tips pages that are either incorrect, or suggest using sleazy tactics. I want to take the high road (perhaps that is the long road) and I want results, not pipe-dreams.

(Maybe I want too much?)

Project would be:
Evaluation of my web page and your suggestions for marketing improvement and contextual and / or code improvement.

Deliverable would be:
Written report (more than two pages - customized specifically for my site) of any additions and/or changes you would suggest for page improvements, SEO, pseudo-marketing plan, etc. You decide what's in the report. You're the expert.
