Description

I have two versions of one VB CraigsList search program. There is a Demo and then a Full version. The problem is that the results do not display (export) to Excel spreadsheet after the program stops or is stopped (after creating and installing from the setup program of each). This export function needs to work in both versions after setup is run. There is one other small bug that the program sometimes starts prematurely. No major code should need to be touched. The programs both work after being compiled but both do not export results after they have been made into setup programs and installed. This could be an hour or two job for a skilled VB programmer. I have all of the source code to both versions. Only bid if you have expert knowledge in this area. Already, two coders have not been able to solve this problem.

Your problem is pretty common in the VB6 world. And we had similar issues due to DLL and/or ActiveX registration. The solution is in the dependencies you include when building the setup You'd better to get rid of the MS setup and build a real one with a free setup application Can be done in a couple of hours. But we never know when it comes to Windows DLL and inter-application communiation hence the 2 days delivery timing; but will very probably be delivered in a couple of hours. I would use the fee setup program "Visual Studio Installer" released for free for creating setup programs as I would guess it is something to do with distribution files
