Description

I need a VB6 app (ONLY VB6 please).
I want it to go against a MySQL database.
App Must:
1) Create an ITEMS table with records which have fields for:
a) Memo type entry (RTF might be better for flexibility). Freeform text entry at any rate.
b) Secuity field. I want to be able to put 2 character designtions in here for security purposes. (ex: AD-Admin, OF-Office, SP-Support etc)
I could have multiple 2 character entries here as individuals may encompass several security levels.
c) Blobs. I want to have the ability to include a .pdf, .doc, .txt, .jpg file along with the record. I want the ability to include 1 of each with each record if I choose. The document should be stored as binary. Addiionally, the app will have the ability to retrieve any of these documents WITHIN THE APPLICATON upon request. In other words, when a PDF, DOC, TXT or JPG is retrieved, the object will appear IN THE APPLICATION, not thru launching an external application.
d) Record Title: Simple text field with a TITLE for the record
e) Record Sub Title: Simple text field with a Sub Title for the record
When listed, the TITLE may have many SUB-TITLE records under it.
f) ADD, EDIT and DELETE functions on the table.
2) Create a USERS table with records which have fields for :
a) Name
b) Department
c) Security Code(s)
d) ADD, EDIT and DELETE functions on the table.
3) The app will not only act as a document creator / blob storage program, but also as a record/document retrieval application. Go to a particular record
Source code for this project must be furnished with the application. A functioning MySQL database must be proviced as well.
Best low bid may provide more work in the future.
