Description
The attached zip file contains excel sheets. These sheets are the basis for an access database I need developed.Your first step would be to analyze the sheets and understand how the client uses them. Its not too hard to visualize - their entering some basic information and the sheets are doing some basic calculations. You can see the problem as well - their creating tabs, having huge spreadsheets that follow a pattern. The 1st 2nd and 3rd shift sheets are really identical.
After spending time to understand what they are doing here, you need to create an access database to support these sheets. I.e. you build a table structure, forms, reports, etc. Your form would have a place where they select the date, shift, etc, then they enter the data, calculations are shown, etc. The excel sheets are a guide to help you design a database that collects this information.
On acceptance, I fund the escrow of this project. After doing a draft of the access database, you send it back to me, (you can encrypt the database at this point since you have not recieved payment, no problem). After I get something from you I will give you a list of suggestions/changes, and release 50% of the project. After you incorporate those changes we should have a working model that I will then have the client try out.
I let the client use the draft, give me feedback, which you incorporate into the database, and once the client is happy, you get the remaining 50%. After that point, if the client wants more changes, we will consider it a separate project.
This project requires you to **think and use your access design experience to build a database that will do the job that the excel sheets are doing.** Should you develop it to look like the excel sheets? Absolutely not - develop it in the way you think works best, and operates best, based on your access database experience. Besides wanting a good way to enter data, the client has no preference, so your input on the design is crucial.
There will be a period of 1-2 weeks while the client uses the program and gets used to it.
Things to note:
Should be developed in Access 2007
Should not an .exe, needs to be an access database (for the final version)
Good code and doc - no sloppy code thats not properly doc'ed - I will check.
I am VERY BUSY - I have a traveling schedule, and manage quite a bit of projects - sometimes you will not hear a response from me for days because I do not have the time to review your work or get feedback. On top of that, the client has their own schedule we have to work around. I need you to be patient.
The project budget is a FIXED BUDGET - all changes and additions by the client are part of the fixed fee - keep that in mind when posting a bid.
As stated above, you will be paid 1/2 at the first delivery and 1/2 on completion. This project has a budget of 500$
