Description

Hello,

I need a batch replace tool for Microsoft Excel that should work in the following way.
instead of replace string by string I want to replace all string pairs in one bacth automatic action

1. I have one excel sheet with English expressions
2. I have an Excel Replacement sheet with String pairs. Left column Original Expression; Right colums "Replacement expression". I need replace all expressions in file with the replacements expressions.
3. Now I need macro or script, that goes trough the file and search for the strings from the translation sheet and replace the strings by the replacemet string in a bacth procedure

4. The replacement strings have both English and Chinese characters. This is important and must work

5. The translation sheet must be editable. Means no hardcode, I must be able to edit (add or change string pairs)

I found some programms on the web like "Batch replace for Excel". But it dont work properly and do not support chinese.

Hi I propose to provide an Excel 2003 utility file where user can supply names of input file, replacement file and their respective sheet names. Editing of the replacement file is not within this assignment but all cells in this file will be checked for updating. The updating is still essentially string by string, but automated to exhaust all of them, if this is what you expect please.
