Description
We require to connect merchant facility to process online subscription fees to an existing online system, including all the web pages, PLUS some extra pages for administration of the facility.That includes a link to paypal and an Australian merchant of our choice (we will provide details).
OUTLINE
Our software will operate on a monthly subscription fee.
New members have an option of free trial for 1 month.
After that a monthly fee kicks in.
On expiration of the free trial we need to send then an email with a link to subscribe, an additional email a week before the trial expires with a reminder.
Overall process:
Ask for payment details
Process payment
If payment ok, then enable the account.
If not, offer a page of instructions how to fix the problem [we can help with specific text here], don’t delete their data yet, we should keep it for say a month to let them join and keep the data.
Monthly payments should be processed automatically via the same method (merchant handles credit card information)
If payment is rejected then we need to suspend their account, and send an email informing them that the account has been suspended and we can only keep their data for 3 months and then it will be erased. Inform them that we will try to re-process the same payment in 5 days.
In 5 days reprocess the same payment unless already paid.
We need a page which should be accessible outside the whole system, and there we need a simple facility to monitor user subscriptions and payments.
List users and their details including:
Date joined
Time of last payment
Time of last login
Flag: active/suspended/trial
Then we need a simple ability to manually suspend an account (say for inappropriate use), manually activate it – special reason for late payment etc.
Anything that can be viewed about fees collected, payments rejected etc as provided by the merchant facility.
In this section we also need to be able to create new ‘admin’ accounts and delete/modify old ones if required.
