Description

Ours is a ASP.NET (VB) website. The original website development company provided us the code. The winning bidder will proceed with using it for enhancement. Our goal of this effort is to make our site error free, giving clear message to our customers on our services through re-design/homepage updates and increasing conversion rates.

Bugs

Disable validation of textfield "postal code" input in Signup form,edit address/billing pages. Certain textfields in some form cause errors if users input quotes or special characters, needs to be fixed and appropriately tested for errors. Eg: Quotes in address field leads to error.

Our site currently has mutliple currency feature which displays amount in user specific currency. It is GBP, AUS,US,CAD if item belongs to one of these countries or $ by default for all other countries. But now, for non-US customers, sometimes if 1 item is added on cart, due to a bug, the cart shows 2/3 items added. Bug needs to be fixed. Need some testing surrounding this to ensure exchange rate calculations are consitently done correctly and correct number of items are added to cart.The functionality has been implemented already and was working, recently something went wrong.

Currently, the site sometimes has prob with AMEX cards processing. Ensure all cards accepted. Also after placing order and payment authorized, user does not receive order information page/email when there was something wrong with the billing information provided. Return msg from gateway like Invalid CVV/Incorrect Address should have customised msg and once payment is authorized, order should be confirmed.

We need users requests to http://ourcompany.com be converted into http://www.ourcompany.com, and request to http turned into https.

Enhancement

We sell 1 main product. We are looking to give user express checkout option:
On homepage, for instinct buying we want to give user express buying option:allow user to select product, qty,recipient and proceed with checkout Use existing function/forms and pre-populate it with info collected. Any missing information gets collected later in ordering process.
Also, Shorten the Signup form.If user clicks sign up, present a short form with basic info like name/email/pwd/phone/address.

Create coupon code function in admin, types will be shipping charge or service charge. Gives discount by %/amount on shipping/service chrgs.

Need admin function to add new product/price which show up as supplements during checkout. Like on flowers site, click to add chocolates/sweets/teddy etc to order

Based on order information, we want shipping labels created. Format: PDF. The label will have product number, From, To, Shipping address,Recipient phone, cost ready to Cut for putting on shipment. Per item in the cart, there will be one Winword page created ready to print.

Need a creative designer to assist with website template re-design. 3 pages require special attention(including homepage)/beautification/graphic content holders.Homepage menu flash updates.Additionaly, Need 7 graphics(jpg) for sales/marketing across various pages. Includes a graphic which clearly tells Step1Signup step2Order Step 3Delivered to customer for homepage. Need 1 flash to demonstrate express checkout.

Order Confirmation,Shipment confirmation templates have been coded, need ability to edit these from admin section.

We are looking to integrate our site with Social networking sites. We are looking for a Social Networking Savvy developer who can implement ways to integrate our site with Facebook(fconnect), Twitter & Orkut for easy sharing of our site with customers within their network. For example, an order placement at our site updates their facebook status informing their network that they used our services.When they visit our site, their facebook status tells the network they visited us.Looking for an expert to implement enhancement that end up driving in traffic, increase conversions,open a two-way communication with customers and grow within their network through these social networking venues.

We want to ensure that there are no configurations hardcoded in the code. The coder will perform code review. We want all configuration parameters to be consolidated in one file which could be updated easily without need for assistance from developer if for example there are server name changes at the host. The last time our host had upgrade, it caused lot of problem .. emails stopped going out.. orders were not confirmed etc. This might already be the case but want the developer to verify and make necessary updates.

Use of Ajax on the site where page refreshes occur. This is 1 -2 locations.

Lastly, we want homepage to display some dynamic content through use of external feeds or web scraping. The developer should have previous experience in doing this.

The enhancements and fixes should be thoroughly tested to ensure the site is completely error free, no technical errors are thrown to customers and existing functionality out of scope of fix/enhnc. is not impacted from the changes.

We are working on a limited budget and will consider bids under $600 with delivery timeframe 14-18 days. Once bid is accepted, the above tasks will be prioritized according to our needs focusing on bug fixing followed by urgent enhancements.

As requested, just to provide some clarification regarding Social Media integration. The API/integration will allow:
1) Users to login using their existing Facebook, orkut or twitter registration information and proceed with order placement without having to sign up on our site. Registration data from these sites will be saved in our database to be used later for order processing. Return customers get to use their facebook/orkut/twitter profile to login. 2)Complete FConnect from Facebook setup. Upon logon display user picture and welcome.
2)Their activity on our site like order placement, will give them an option to display it on their wall that they used our service.
3)A single click will allow them to share our site with their network/post on their walls/status update/post in groups.Invite friends to our site, send an event
4) The API Integration will allow checking for users upcoming events: birthdays,etc in facebook and remind them to use our services to send gifts.
5)Allow user to become fan of our facebook profile.
6)Import user contacts and give users option to notify friends about us.
Other than this, open for better ideas if you have already implemented this.
PS: The speed of our site should not be compromised, we need a Sr developer who can do necessary optimization.

After i select the provider, i will put the money in the GAF escrow in the provider's name. This way it is fair to both sides. I will release the money ONLY when i am fully satisfied with your work. You will have to give timely updates on the ongoing progress. After that you will help me install the website on my production server.

I want someone who has experience working on projects of this kind. If you don't have the skills and experience please do not bid, make it easy for both of us. If i like your work i will hire you on a long-term basis to maintain this website and develop additional features.
