I noticed in the spreadsheet that routing operations are referred to as '506514-01.OP1', '506514-01.OP2', but in the text file they are referred to as '506514-01.20', '506514-01.30'. Is the OP1, OP2 parlance used in the spreadsheet figurative or literal? In other words, do we only update on an exact match or will some additional matching logic be required (eg. OP1 = lowest operation sequence number found. OP2 = next lowest.)? 2. Which version of Excel will this project be targeted - Excel/2007 or an earlier version? Hello my name is Bill.. Addirtional info.needed: - is it one or multi txt files to be dealt with? - in case it is many txt files should the info. be accumulated in one xls file? - as for discription field. is it stricltly just "-22VTC" to be replaced with .OP*? Sample DATA.txt includes routing without "-22VTC". - are any requirements as for formating fields in xls file?
