Description

OK, I have 2 issues w/ my ubuntu box, both of which are probably simple config issues but I'm tired of wasting my own time and might be willing to pay someone to guide me in fixing it.

The first problem is with my Wordpress configuration. Right now my wordpress is running at http:///www.mydomain.com/wordpress. I want it to be a subdomain, i.e., http://wordpress.domain.com. I've searched google and found several examples, but no solution fully worked for me.

The second problem is with Ubuntu itself. I went to install the xine-ui package and when I did that, Synaptic said it was going to uninstall a bunch of things. I guess they were critical libraries because now it won't boot to the desktop. It's stays at the command line. It's not a big problem since I'm just using it as a server anyways, but it is annoying. I'm running v6.0.6.

I'm a programmer and can find my way around in Linux/Apache/Mysql, but I've got other projects and work going on and don't feel like wasting any more of my time.

This seems like a simple job for someone with the right skills, and I was hoping that someone would be willing to trade a few emails with me to get these issues solved and I would pay a flat rate, say $25.
