Within this framework, endogenous livestock development, an approach that focuses on the livestock farmers’ strategies, on their culture and their conceptions of the world, may be considered as a timely innovation. In June 2005, Heifer International Cameroon organized an international workshop on endogenous livestock development (ELD). The purpose of this workshop was to introduce the ELD concept and facilitate exchange of experiences between the agricultural producers, the field agents of Heifer Cameroon and the extension agents of government services with which they collaborate. In March 2007, post - workshop follow-up meetings were held with all producer participants. During the meetings held during and after the workshop, the practical implications of ELD on the reduction of poverty were filmed and recorded in different ways. L’objectif de cet atelier était d’introduire le concept DEE et de favoriser des échanges d’expériences entre les producteurs agricoles, les agents de terrain de Heifer Cameroon et les agents de vulgarisation des services gouvernementaux avec lesquels ils collaborent. En mars 2007, des rencontres de suivi post-atelier ont été tenues avec tous les producteurs participants. Au cours des rencontres tenues pendant et après l’atelier, les implications pratiques du DEE sur la réduction de la pauvreté ont été filmées et enregistrées sous différentes manières.
