Description: Tasks:

1. Translate a contract from Spanish to English.
7 Pages, 2,563 words
The contract is between my company and a supplier located in Spain, for services relating to the management of vehicles.

2. Maintain both a Spanish and English language version of the contract which tracks the changes resulting from the negotiation. In other words, when your translation to English is ready, I will mark-up the contract with changes in English. You will need to translate my changes into Spanish and also translate into English any subsequent changes requested by the Spanish supplier. I expect that there will be 1 or 2 rounds of negotiating. I estimate that the total number of words to translate resulting from the negotiation will be small (eg, 10% of the total document or approx 250 words), however there is a little bit of complexity in tracking the changes properly in both documents (Spanish and English) so that at each stage of the negotiation there are always two equivalent documents.

In your bid, please let me know about your experience translating legal documents and if you have any experience maintaining parallel language versions of a contract to support a negotiation.
