Description

We need several people to create a new Latvian-English, English-Lithuanian dictionary. The dictionary will be published as an "electronic dictionary" for sale through a website and also used by existing customers that are using our dictionaries for other languages.
We can of course not make a dictionary based upon existing dictionaries, because of copyrights, but every editor will of course use several dictionaries to do such a job. Words are not copyrighted, but examples are.
The job involves several different kinds of editing. You may fx. receive lists of words that should be translated to the other language, especially list of English words to be translated into Latvian. In other cases you may receive English-Lithuanian translations that you should rewrite to make them better, it is especially important to get the various meanings of words - not a one to one translation. We aim to make the best Lithuanian-English-Lithuanian dictionary available at the Internet. We will first of all make a basic dictionary will and then the next step will specialized dictionaries, like technical, business, law and medicine.
We do also want to make similar dictionary from Lithuanian to Swedish, Danish and Norwegian.
It is impossible to stipulate a budget as several people will be working on this, maybe some full time and some part time. So the price should be for 10 hours.
