My name is Gundi Fritzsche. I was born and raised in Germany, have a Law degree and practised as a lawyer in Germany for 15 years before emigrating to South Africa in 1992. I am bi-lingual in English and German, and I practise both languages on a daily basis. In my experience, a good translation is not guaranteed simply by being able to understand two languages. My work is elegant, natural, faithful to the source material and authentic to the target language. My approach is meticulous and thorough, not only in terms of grammar and spelling, but also when it comes to idioms, figures of speech and general quirks of language.
