Description

This project is to make a French translation of the software at www.crossword-compiler.com - the market leading Windows puzzle software (that supports French-style puzzles). After translation you should be willing to market and manage French sales for a percentage share of the price per sale, including software support for French users by email. Please bid for the percentage cut and any (small) up-front fee for the translation, with details of any relevant experience and marketing plans. You may also bid for just the translation.

Translation involves:
- about 1000 program strings, mostly short
- help file, about 130 pages
- web site

Translation should be done by a native French speaker (French or Canadian); data will be provided as .tmx file (e.g. translate with free Olifant software) and html help files.

This project has been re-opening as the first person finds he does not now have time to work on it. Most of the program strings have now been translated, so the remaining work is the help file and website, plus some checking of the program strings. There are also half a dozen other odd things that need translating.

We will pay 20% commission on French sales, and much prefer bidders who are interested in the sales and marketing part as well as translation. i.e. please view this as a business partnership opportunity rather than a straight translation job.
