Description

I am doing a research study on people in various countries and their speech abilities with regards to English. I am in particular looking for people with very bad English speaking skills. I also would like a picture of these people. Please state in your bid what country you will be doing this project in.

What you will need for this project:
- Good audio recording equipment
- A digital Camera

What you will do:
- I will give you a list of English sentences I want you to get the person to read. Each item that people will read will only take 3-10 seconds to read.
- You will find women and men in your country that barely speak English, or that speak it but very poorly so it is hard to understand.
- You will record the women and men speaking a couple of the sentences from the list I give you.
- Each recording should be good quality, without too much background noise.
- You will then take a picture of them with a digital camera. I do not need a picture of their legs, from the stomach up with their head would be a good photo. Please have the person smile in the picture.
- Keep the picture with the person's audio recording, so I know which picture is attached to each audio recording.

If you do a good job with the number of phrases/sentences I give you and find good people for my study, I will ask you to do more work for me.

Just to clarify, the audio recordings are only going to be a few seconds. A typical thing you will have them say is, "Where is the bathroom sir?" or "A corvette is faster than a Toyota Prius" and other short sentences. Please see the attached document for what you will have the people say. Also, the audio files you record must be in .mp3 format. Also, the worst the person is at speaking and the harder they are to understand the better it will be.
