I'm Linux server administrator and I can easily do the tasks you ask for except checking PHP codes for bugs. For a dedicated server I recommend Debian Etch instead of Ubuntu as Ubuntu is not geared for dedicated servers (Ubuntu is a distro that is derived from Debian) While Debian is known for its rock solid performance on servers. Also I'm certainly not going on vacation during june-july so I will at hand if anything comes up.
