Description

I need a skilled Delphi programmer, preferably with Radius knowledge to create a Delphi Radius server library similar to TinyRadius (an Open source radius library written in Java).

1. For my requirement, i only need Access-Request, Access-Accept, Access-Reject, and Access-Challenge.
2. The radius server should work with major VPN products including Microsoft VPN and Windows 2008 Server.
3. You also need program such that the code can be ported to Lazarus so that the library can be used on Linux platform.
4. You need to provide one example Delphi and one Dot net service application using the library.
5. You need to provide full instructions on how to setup, compile and deploy the library. Delphi 7 is to be used.

This will be a pioneering project as there is no known Windows library (Delphi,VB or Dot net) for Radius server that i am aware of.

If you are interested, please submit your experience, how you intend to complete the project, and a sample RADIUS program written in Delphi that can process a simple Access-Request with hardcoded shared secret, user/password. Any bid made without the sample program will be ignored.

I have a proposition that might interest You if: a/ For Your project is not problematic to give some credit to 3rd party. b/ You need only the mentioned functionality and don't plan any non-RFC compliant changes in the library. You may wish to look at Yard (Yet Another Radius Daemon) Radius, which is derived from the good old Livingston radius, property of Lucent Technologies. Lucent have licensed the source under the old BSD license, which is like the new, with one additional clause: You must mention in all advertising materials that your program includes software, developed by Lucent. Other than above clause, the BSD license allows You to do anything with the software, including selling it and keeping the source to yourself. Porting the desired functionality from YARD Radius to Windows and integrating it in Delphi application or library is not at all hard, given the advanced porting tools we have today. I think that this will take quite less time and will result much more cheap, robust and secure solution than writing something from scratch. You will have problems modifying the functionality of the library itself, because it is in C.
