Postfix Mail Server

Recently I had a Fedora Core 6 server setup with postfix installed. Postfix was initially configured with a single mailbox setup, however, to this point I have been unable to login to the mailbox using the username/password outside the server. (While on the server, I am able to check mail fine.)

Connecting to the server via telnet and through email programs gives a password error, or the connection is flat out refused. Can connect to SMTP port fine(or so it would seem?). Basically to this point I have not been able to check the email.

It's not a postfix problem, it's a POP/IMAP problem, dovecot maybe, can be easily fixed.

Hi ! I will help you. At first Postfix is SMTP server and postfix is not used for receiving mail (only for sending). You use POP3 or IMAP server for receiving mail. I think some ports are blocked by firewall. If you need more help send me message. Best regards Serg
