Description

I need a logo for a women's clothing boutique in Southern California. The name of the business is Saffron Boutique. My vision is modern, sophisticated and chic. I would like to possibly use the saffron flower within the logo also. This logo will be used for signage, business cards, press, packaging etc.

I am Tami Thompson of Tami Design and I specialize in branding and identity. I am currently working on 2 logos for other California businesses. One is an Artisanal Catering Company and the other is a Real Estate Venture Capitalist. And I just finished a small Boutique in Washington DC. I say this only to include these as references and would be willing to provide phone numbers and email addresses if you would like to contact them as to the quality of my work and satisfaction of the client. I am new on Get a Freelancer and have no work history in the program but can provide numerous references from a well established client list. I put down 5 days for the turnaround on this project but that entirely depends on your feedback to proofs. I will have a proof to you within 2 days and then it is mainly the refining that finishes it up and I need your input as part of that process. I will begin with a company analysis and ask you about direction and style of your business to get a better feel for the project. I include the client as an integral part of the brand development. I will put up a page of logos in the PM as examples of my past brand development for you to view. Thank you for the consideration and I look forward to hearing from you.

Wow--I didn't know this would turn into one huge paragraph! HELLO and THANK YOU VERY MUCH for the opportunity to bid on the logo for Saffron Boutique, which, according to your description, will become your brand that represents the store. I see you want to use the saffron crocus in the logo; I've taken a slightly different creative approach, using the colors of the flower and stamen, pulled directly from a photo of the flower. I've had to order monument signs for a retail store and I can tell you that any sign shop should have no problem reproducing this. Stick it on mugs or other items for promo giveaways. And let's say you want to get just the "saffron boutique" embroidered onto polo shirts for an event, such as a bridal expo, or for staff shirts. This logo will stand out even in one color--a great reduction in spending when you go to run a newspaper ad. My design theory is that if you put it together well, it doesn't need to be complicated. I've designed and ordered printeditems, screen-printed items, embroidered items, engraved items and even a TV commercial with my designs and I've learned that less is worth more because it's definitely less hassle. Designers often don't take the potential for other uses of a logo into account. I've done it all so I know where there may be problems, and I foresee them for you. I designed my first print pieces over 20 years ago. Take a look at the bottom, I've included a subtle hint of luxury. The words you use to describe the store are separated by...saffron threads, the most expensive spice in the world. I'm willing to work with you on color modifications to suit your liking, such as if you want something lighter, darker, etc. To see a watermarked proof of my concept, paste this link at The Internet Archive into your browser: http://ia311027.us.archive.org/3/items/SaffronSampleV1/saffronboutiquesample.JPG Because of the holiday weekend please allow a few days to get the un-watermarked version to you. Thanks again for the opportunity.
