Description

I want a Python Program with a wxPython GUI that has a single pull down menu. The menu should have two Item on it

1. View Files
2. Quit

When the View Files menu item is activated new window should open that lets the user navigate to a directory on their machine.

Once the directory is selected the program should gather (list) the htm and txt files in the directory and display the first file in a Browser like window. The window should have a three buttons at the bottom. There should be scroll controls in case the source file is larger than the display area in the window.

Regarding the buttons
the first should be Next File
when Next File is clicked the next file in the list should be displayed. If the last file in the list is displayed and the user clicks on the Next File button a screen should replace the last file displayed and report "You have reviewed all relevant files in this directory"

The second button should be Delete Current File
when Delete Current Files is selected the file should be deleted and the next file in the list should then be displayed.

The final button should be Quit
When Quit is selected the file viewer should close and control returned to the initial window.

Also the files will generally have a name of the following form:
STRING-RYYYYMMDD-CYYYYMMDD-otherstuff.ext
if the files have a name in that form then the title bar of the browse window should display
NAME: STRING RDATE: MM/DD/YYYY CDATE: MM/DD/YYYY

if the file names are not of the form STRING-RYYYYMMDD-CYYYYMMDD-otherstuff.ext then just the unparsed file name can be displayed

Note-the Values for year, month and date for RDATE and CDATE are different-thus both values have to be parsed and handled separately.

When the Quit menu Item is selected the program should quit.

Note- The projects main deliverable is going to be a script of the form .py. It should run on a windows XP machine with Python 2.5

I have never posted a project before. I will pay your commission on the project if I select you and I will escrow the funds as soon as a bid has been agreed to and I figure out how to do it safely. I would like to see a wxPython sample. If we agree to a bid I will ask you to commit to a delivery date. We will agree that failure to make the delivery date will give me the right to cancel and rebid the project.
