I'm looking for some help writing a plugin for Picard Tagger (http://musicbrainz.org/doc/PicardTagger). THe program is very nice at filling in some missing info and organizing music. But it's missing the ability to also convert and delete duplicates. Let's say, for example, I have a library of mostly MP3s, but a couple albums are in FLAC, and a couple loose songs in WAV. This plugin should be able to convert all of these to the intended format, in this case MP3. Then it would delete all duplicates from the conversion process, based on the program's built in PUID preferably (all songs with the same PUID treated as duplicates). Options for intended audio codec and whether to ask which song to keep or simply keep the song of highest quality upon encountering dupicates. Something like this I expect to take an hour or two for someone who knows what they are doing. I might be able to help get in the way- I mean ease workload.
