Hello, my name is David Ostrom, currently I am an unemployed Graphic/Web Designer. I was working in the newspaper industry in Atlanta, GA. I used Adobe InDesign every day for the past five years. Good day! Because of the lack of information I can't give you an excact bid or timeline, but basically if it's not a huge project, i can do it in less than 3 days (for instance, a book of 100 pages with 3 revisions). I have been designing and pagesetting books since 2002, and since then i've done about a 1000 books or more, and prepared it for press. I work in InDesign, naturally with PDF output, and also know how to use Creo Preps, but basically the whole pre-press can be done in InDesign, and after that either PS or PDF for the CTF or CTP. I worked in printing studios, since i was 5 (starting with screen printing, and by the age of 12 i was working on sheetfed printing presses). Some so-called designers are so desperate to take jobs and work for pennies. They are bidding for less than 50 bucks for a 3 day job. Humiliating. It tells me that they are either from third world cheap countries (where 50 dollars is a real fortune), or teenagers willing to spend few days working on comp in order to make money for weed and beer.(or both) Leave a job to a professional. Btw, Indesign and Adobe CS specialist, and head of creative department at my USA based company. I have attended so many Adobe seminars (which those cheap bidders can only dream about).
