Description

Hi there,

I need a (Part of) clone of the eBay "Sell Item"-Form.
My Problem are the Category specific Informations. I have a XML-File, where all specific Informations are listed.

Let me explain by an Example:
If someone wants to sell a Car, eBay asks for Number of Doors, Time of first use, HP, ...
If someone wants to sell a Computer, eBay asks for HD-Size, Display-Size, Memory-Size,...,...

So, I need a Perl Scipt, wich checks the XML-File for any aditional needed Informations for the selected Category and wich then creates a HTML-Form to add all these aditional Informations. Some Informations have to be added by an Text-Fild, others by Drop-Down, Checkbox or Radio-Buttons. All these Informations (Type of Input-Fild, Name of Field and possible Values) are stored in the XML-File.

There are 2 XML-Files: The first one has a List of Category-ID´s, where all "Attribute-Set-ID´s" are listed (e.g. Category "12344" needs Attribute Set "3465").

The second XML-File has all the Attribute-Sets, which includes the AttributeSet-ID with all additional needed Informations.
Some Attributes have a
Who can create a Perl-Script, to convert these XML into a HMTL-Form?

Please: Bid only, if you have experience in this. This is the third Time I Post this Project. Every Body told me, it can be done EASILY, but I still have no result :-(

Please tell me, wich similar Project you have done before.

Thanks an Regards,
Oliver

Hi, We have developed many systems in which UI was dynamically generated using the data in databse tables. We think that you need a similar solution but the data is in XML. Though we think $300 is very less for this, we are willing to take it up as a begining of new relations. Let us know.

Hi, I'm placing a bid, because I don't seem to be able to post messages on this that are only going to you. If I understand the project correctly, you have 2 xml files that describe what the form should look like. You want an input-html form based upon those descriptive files. Right ? Ok, do you have the XML files so I can take a look at it ? Do you have XMS schemas of them ? (XSD or DTD files) They explain the layout, kindof like a database model for XML. Where do you want the data to be written to ? Why do you want perl for this ? IMHO, the best way to do this, is not perl but XSL (xml transformations). I use Cocoon for that. cocoon.apache.org. Please contact me through email or skype. my email is yves dot vindevogel at implements dot be. My skype is yves dot vindevogel. I live in Belgium. So that's GMT+1 for timezone issues. I've done several XML projects, and yours doesn't seem to be difficult, if you use the right tools.
