Bid On This Project

Description

I have an existing Movable Type 3.2 site that I never had time to implement commenting on. The site's templates are highly modularized and I want to continue this approach with the comments.

Basically, completing this project will require three things:

1. Creating a template module for the CommentItem (the displayed comment). Comments will be listed beneath the relevant article/blog entry, as is typical for blogs.

2. Creating a CommentEditor template module. This is where a user enters his comment into the system. It will be displayed beneath the CommentItems, as is typical for blogs.

3. Figuring out why the Perl/CGI part of Movable Type doesn't seem to know about the site's real templates/theme and getting it to do so (the static publishing part works fine, but the out-of-the-box commenting, which is dynamic, seems to load a different "theme").

Attached is an image showing how I would like these items to look.

I can provide some of the html markup for these items (the attached picture is a snapshot of a static HTML file I got from my designer).

I can also provide access to a functioning test site, which uses all the actual site's templates, where you can test your code.

Please bid only if you have experience creating skins/themes for Movable Type (preferably 3.2).

Pointers to exisitng MT sites you have done will be greatly appreciated.

Payment will be by GAF escrow.

Hello, I am based in San Jose (Silicon Valley), California - United States, I am a project manager and have developed a transparent method that puts you in full control, for providing freelance services for data entry work as well as other project types. All work is done on what is known as a "cloud computing" environment, this is a server and runs a Linux desktop on the server, you can login from your computer (using info I provide to you) to watch as work is being done using remote access and I can have my contractor workers work on the project under my direction (I can see everything that is being done and instruct them or you can do so yourself if you prefer), there is no ambiguity as to how long things or taking or what is being done at what time -- you can see everything and I save screen shots taken at 5 second intervals so you can later review all work. You are given 24 hour access to the virtual desktop and can login at any time to review the work and access files. If this sounds like something you may be interested in please contact me so we can discuss your project further.
